As you know October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which is an annual campaign to increase awareness of the disease.
Did you know that about 1 in 8 U.S. women will develop invasive breast cancer over the course of her lifetime? While most people are aware of breast cancer, many forget to take the steps to have a plan to detect the disease in its early stages and encourage others to do the same.
So this October our Action drivers and helpers are proudly wearing pink beanie hats to show support and raise awareness. This idea came to us from one of our drivers Bryce who works on a Manhattan route. His thought was that our drivers see hundreds of people a day while driving around the city, why not show support for such a great cause to help raise awareness.
We have made a lot of progress but still have a long way to go and need your help.
